Bohemia, N.Y. — July 29 — Members of Hook & Ladder Company 1 are preparing for a comedy night fundraiser to support their fire company and its continued service to the Bohemia community.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Governors Comedy Club, 1627 Smithtown Ave. in Bohemia. Doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m., with the comedy show beginning at 8 p.m. Current ticket listings also confirm an All-Star Comedy Show at the Bohemia venue that evening.

According to the Bohemia Fire Department's July 29 announcement, tickets are $25 and include a two-item minimum at the venue. Organizers also plan to hold a 50/50 raffle and prize raffles during the evening, with event T-shirts available for purchase.

Hook & Ladder Company 1 is organizing the event, and the money raised will help the business and its community outreach initiatives.

To support the volunteer fire department and spend an evening with local firemen, residents, relatives, coworkers, and supporters are invited to the event.
