This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Croydon, N.H. — July 25 — Together with mutual assistance partners, the Croydon Fire Department held a motor vehicle collision training exercise. Vehicle stabilization, patient extrication, scene safety, and incident leadership were the main topics of discussion. Along with the Grantham Police Department and New London Hospital, firefighters from Plainfield, Grantham, Springfield, and New London took part. Participants in the activity included instructors, volunteers, and support staff.

In order to strengthen coordination and communication during car wrecks, crews practiced real-world scenarios. In addition to giving rescuers practical experience, the training helped them retain the skills necessary for patient care and safe extrication. Additionally, joint drills improved interagency response protocols and regional mutual aid operations.
