Alna, ME — July 22 — Firefighters practiced handline operations as part of the Alna Volunteer Fire Department's weekly tactical training. Under Captain Butterfield's guidance, junior firemen took part in the drill and gained practical training with hose handling, mobility, and fundamental fireground operations. The program reinforced safe and coordinated operations while giving participants a chance to practice skills in a controlled environment.

Every Wednesday nite, the Alna Volunteer Fire Department held training sessions at the fire station. In addition to giving rookie firefighters supervised experience as they prepared for future emergency responses and ongoing department training, the frequent sessions assisted members in maintaining their operational abilities.
