Alna, ME — July 15 — The Wiscasset Fire Department training center hosted a four-department training session in which the Alna Volunteer Fire Department took part. Search and rescue, structure firefighting, salvage and overhaul operations, and vehicle fires were all covered in practical drills by firefighters from Alna, Wiscasset, Edgecomb, and Westport. Thru the training, teams were able to collaborate with other departments in a coordinated environment while honing their response skills.

Additionally, the drills strengthened teamwork, communication, and operating protocols utilized in emergency situations. The program was supported by the Wiscasset Fire Department, Edgecomb Maine Fire Department, and Westport, Maine Volunteer Fire Department. Crews gained hands-on experience in a variety of emergency response domains during the training.
