Residents were informed by the Brooklawn Fire Department that the department does not have employes on duty around-the-clock and is solely staffed by volunteers.

The reminder came after a resident came to the station to ask for help with a flooded basement while a firefighter was there with the front doors open.

Residents should call 911 for any emergency service requests, according to department officials. After receiving the call, Camden County 911 call takers will forward it to the relevant dispatcher, who will allocate the necessary resources.
