The Westfield (Union County NJ) Fire Department is a ISO Class 2 career fire department that employs around 40 firefighters who protect a population of 31,000 in just under 7-square-miles from 2 firehouses. The Westfield Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 was formed in 1875. Bucket & Engine Company was formed in 1881 and Empire Engine Company No. 2 was formed in 1883. The Westfield Fire Department was formed in 1883.

They have 2 stations. Station 1 is located at 405 North Avenue West and was built in 1911. It houses:

-Ladder 1 a, 2013 Pierce Arrow XT 1750/440/40F/100' rear-mount ladder

-Engine 3, a 2001 E-One Cyclone ll 2000/750/40F

-Engine 4 a, 2016 Pierce Enforcer 1750/750

-Unit 1, a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe

-Unit 2, a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe

-Car 9 a, 2018 Ford Expedition

Station 2 is located at 1029 Central Avenue, and was built in 1963. It houses:

-Engine 2 a, 2002 E-One Cyclone ll 2000/750/40F

-Engine 5 a, 2020 Pierce Enforcer 7010 1750/750
