Firefighter/EMT Thomas Malone was featured in the Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47's "Meet the Members Monday" article on January 12. Malone, a member of B Platoon, has been with the police since 2024. Outside of work, Malone stays active by going to the gym, running, lifting weights, and golfing with pals. He acknowledges his mother's unwavering support and encouragement in athletics, education, and employment, citing her as the greatest impact in his life.

Malone claimed that after talking to a firefighter in high school and learning about the profession and the value of helping others, he became interested in the fire service. He emphasizes exercise, a balanced diet, and enough sleep to stay ready. He advises prospective firefighters to take the test, get in touch with current firemen, and ask questions.
