Allendale, N.J. — Aug 3 — At the grandstand, the Allendale Fire Department helped the Allendale Police Department and Allendale Volunteer Ambulance Corps with a Medivac landing simulation. Police, fire, and emergency medical services workers had the chance to rehearse medical helicopter landing techniques during the drill. Crews examined communications, coordination among responding agencies, landing zone operations, and scene safety.

Additionally, the training gave staff members the opportunity to practice access and scene control techniques in a controlled environment. Before a real Medivac mission was needed, cooperative exercises like this one made sure local responders understood their responsibilities. The activity was finished according to schedule.
