West Greenwich Crews Conducted Joint Fire Training

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

West Greenwich, R.I. — July 26 — Hope-Jackson Fire Co. and West Greenwich Vol Fire Co. No. 1 members took part in a combined training exercise. The drill's main objectives were to find the fire's seat and any hidden extensions, search for victims before the hose line, control the fire, and advance hose lines on a fireground. While completing routine fireground activities, crews rehearsed coordinating inside operations.

Firefighters from both departments had the chance to collaborate during the training and enhance their hose-line operations, communication, and search techniques. Before reacting jointly to real emergency situations in nearby communities, joint exercises like this one helped departments stay prepared and improve working relationships.
