Groton, CT. — July 7 — On the anniversary of his death, Poquonnock Bridge Professional Firefighters Local 2704 honored Firefighter Todd Williamson. Williamson continued to participate in fire and life safety courses while working as an EMT and fireman for the Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department. In January 2010, he was given a Meritorious Service Award for his contributions to the department's public education program expansion.

Family, friends, and other firemen continued to honor Williamson's dedication and devotion. By commemorating his years of service and preserving his memory within the local fire service community, the department commemorated the occasion.
