Hackensack Fire Department Hosts Bergen County Youth Academy

Hackensack, NJ - The City of Hackensack Fire Department hosted participants from the Bergen County Youth Academy, a two-week program led by the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
The high school-aged participants were given a hands-on introduction to the fire service, taking part in activities such as riding a zip line, operating a hose line, and touring Hackensack Fire Department headquarters. The experience provided participants with an opportunity to learn about firefighting operations, fire safety, and the responsibilities of firefighters.
The program also helped build a greater appreciation for the fire service and its role in protecting the community.
