Edgartown, MA. — July 24 — To refresh critical fireground skills, the Edgartown Fire Department, located at 68 Peases Point Way S., had its monthly Fire Familiarity Friday training. In order to increase efficiency during emergency reactions, firefighters rehearsed quick-break operations, emergency vehicle driving, and hose deployment. Crews took turns participating in practical exercises that focused on equipment familiarity, teamwork, communication, and safe apparatus handling.

Frequent training sessions improve the abilities required for fire suppression and other emergency situations while also assisting firefighters in maintaining operational preparedness. By offering hands-on exercises that equipped members to react safely and effectively whenever the community called for aid, the department maintained its dedication to continuous professional development.
