After decades of service to the community, the Revere Fire Department acknowledged the retirement of Captains Steven Ferrante and Guy Landry, both of which took effect on August 6.

Over the course of his 40-year tenure, Captain Ferrante mentored numerous generations of officers and firefighters while serving as the department's senior captain. After 29 years of service, including several years as IAFF Local 926 president, Captain Landry retired.

In appreciation of their devoted public service, State Representatives Jessica Giannino and Jeff Turco, as well as Mayor Patrick Keefe, gave citations to both captains. Officials from the department wished both retirees a long and healthy retirement and many years of family time.
