On July 23, Sterling Fire/Rescue sponsored a LifeStar aeromedical training class for members of the Atwood Hose Fire Company.
Coordination between flight crews and first responders, as well as landing zone safety protocols, were discussed in class. The helicopter's cockpit and onboard patient care space were also shown to firefighters during their tour of LifeStar 2, which is located at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
