Westerly, R.I. — July 31 — Chief Reall and Assistant Chief Koretski of the Watch Hill Fire Department, located at 222 Watch Hill Road, took part in a marine outreach program aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle in Newport Harbor. Constructed in 1936, the 295-foot training ship brought public safety experts, elected officials, and maritime partners to Newport as part of the America 250 commemoration.

Through the Narragansett Bay maritime Task Force, which organizes maritime emergency response throughout Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts, the event demonstrated regional cooperation. Partnerships that provide safe, coordinated activities on nearby waterways and coastal communities were strengthened during the visit.
