On July 11, four Conway Fire Department members ran the North Conway Tunnel to Towers 5K fundraising while wearing full fireman turnout gear.
Firefighters R. Gavett, L. Gavett, L. Dupuis, and C. Colpoys participated in the event, which pays tribute to Stephen Siller, an FDNY firefighter who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, after sprinting through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel while fully equipped to respond to the World Trade Center.
