Keene, NH - The Professional Firefighters of Keene IAFF Local 3265 conducted rappelling training from the tower at Central Station, focusing on strengthening rope rescue skills across the department.

While often associated with specialized teams, rope operations are a critical skill for all firefighters. Members trained on proper techniques and equipment use to safely operate at heights and in challenging environments where traditional access may not be possible.

These skills are essential for incidents involving steep terrain, elevated structures, confined spaces, and other complex rescue scenarios. Training of this nature reinforces safety, builds confidence, and ensures crews are prepared to deploy effectively when lives depend on it.
