— October 26, 2026 — Gorham Fire & EMS was asked to help Gilead, Maine, just before 8 a.m. On Monday, a chimney fire was reported.
Gorham crews assisted at the scene by checking for fire extension and helping clean out the chimney and wood-burning heater. The units arrived back at Gorham by 10 a.m. Based on the department's report.
Gilead Fire Department led the local response. Gorham Fire & EMS assisted in the mission as a mutual-aid partner. The department's account omitted other responding agencies, so no additional departments were named.
