Charlotte Firefighters Completed Basic Pumps Training

Charlotte, ME — July 12 — Firefighters Jessica Sawyer, Doran Huckins, Noah Curtis, and John Sawyer finished a Basic Pumps course offered by the Calais Fire Department through the Maine Fire Service Institute as part of the ongoing training program of the Charlotte Volunteer Fire & Rescue, located at 1100 Ayers Jct. Rd. In order to share their newly acquired abilities with other members, Noah Curtis and John Sawyer led a pump operations training session after the class. Further training was scheduled for the following month.


In order to assist with department upkeep, Jessica Sawyer, John Sawyer, and Doran Huckins also repainted the station floor. The department's ongoing emphasis on teamwork, training, and operational preparedness was evident in the combined projects.
