Bridgewater, VT. — July 20 — Over the previous few third Mondays of the month, members of the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department, located at 28 Southgate Loop, finished the community's yearly hydrant testing. In order to verify correct operation and water flow, firefighters drafted from a few hydrants, cleansed water lines, and examined hydrants for obvious damage. The work confirmed that fire hydrants were still prepared to put out fires and assisted in identifying repair requirements before they had an impact on emergency operations.

A common fire service procedure that promotes reliable water supply and efficient incident response is annual hydrant testing. The department's ongoing maintenance work strengthened fire safety throughout the Town of Bridgewater while ensuring dependable hydrant operation.
