In order to improve first responders' capacity to respond to hazardous materials, Rangeley Fire & Rescue organized a Hazardous Materials Technician course during the third week of July.
Chief Michael Bacon, Deputy Chief Steven Grant, Lt. Camdan Carmichael, and Firefighter/EMT Matthew Pellerin are the four department personnel who successfully earned the advanced certification. The course was also finished by two firefighters from the Center Ossipee Fire Department in New Hampshire.
