On July 28, Brentwood Fire & Rescue personnel joined the Brentwood Police Department for Action Kids' yearly Color Wars event. As part of a community outreach program, they spent the day interacting with campers and counselors.

In addition to taking part in the event parade, firefighters held a Touch-a-Truck display that allowed kids and families to examine emergency vehicles and discover more about the tools and procedures used by the department. In addition to encouraging community involvement, the event gave first responders an enjoyable opportunity to mingle with locals.
