Princeton, N.J. — July 4 — Station 35 of the Griggstown Fire Company urged locals to enjoy holiday activities with loved ones while safely celebrating Independence Day. The department advised the public to exercise caution when using grills, outdoor cooking appliances, and fireworks—all of which continue to be frequent sources of fires and injuries over the holiday season.
Additionally, firefighters advised locals to keep kids and pets away from sources of ignition and to attend professionally run fireworks displays if feasible. Throughout the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the annual safety message helped lower the likelihood of avoidable incidents while supporting the department's continued dedication to fire prevention, public education, and community safety.
