Hillsborough, N.J. — July 17 — Five individuals who successfully completed Firefighter I certification during the Spring and Summer 2026 training sessions were acknowledged by Hillsborough Twp. Station 37 Fire. Summer graduates Matt and Cira joined spring graduates Sabrina, Unique, and Mike in obtaining the certification. Through classroom instruction and practical skills, such as fire suppression, search and rescue, ladders, ventilation, and firefighter safety, Firefighter I training equipped members for combating inside structural fires.

After months of training and assessments, department officers greeted the graduates as the newest interior firefighters. The accomplishment improved Station 37's operational preparedness and brought on more qualified staff to assist with emergency response in the Hillsborough Township neighborhood.
