On July 11, three members of the Freehold Fire Department (Station 15) successfully completed their Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 training at the Monmouth County Fire Academy.
Leo Kowalewski, Emilie Tomko, and Martin Vega received their state firefighting certificates after graduating as members of Firefighter 1 Class 145 and Firefighter 2 Class 232. Their operational service with the department begins when they graduate from the academy.
