At its meeting on July 23, the Winslow Township Fire District No. 1 Board of Fire Commissioners honored a number of members for new positions and departmental achievements.

Kutubu Kpolie, a probationary firefighter, obtained his firefighter frontice after successfully completing his probationary term. Board Chairman Richard Iannaco swore in Rolando Astacio and Colin DiVietro, who started their probationary assignments with Squad 25 Platoons A and B, respectively.

The members were congratulated by department officials, who also wished them a safe and prosperous career in the fire service.
