HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. — July 14 —  The Hillsborough Fire Co. #3 – Station 38, 324 Woods Road, recognized Ernie Park after he earned Firefighter I certification and became the department's newest interior firefighter. The certification followed extensive classroom instruction and hands-on training in structural firefighting, search and rescue, ladder operations, ventilation and firefighter safety.

Completing Firefighter I qualified Park to participate in interior firefighting operations under department guidelines. Department officers commended his commitment to training as he joined the company's interior firefighting team, strengthening emergency response capabilities for Hillsborough Township while supporting mutual aid operations across Somerset County.
