Raritan Borough FD Honored Ex-Chief Bruce Lindner’s Legacy

RARITAN, N.J. — July 11 — The 30th anniversary of the line-of-duty death of former chief Bruce Lindner, who passed away on July 11, 1996, following a medical issue during a training practice, was celebrated by the Raritan Borough Fire Department, located at 611 N. Thompson St. Lindner continued to be well-known in the Raritan community and the fire service while serving in a number of leadership capacities.


By telling younger generations about his leadership and service, members continued to uphold his dedication. In order to ensure that Lindner's contributions to the department would be acknowledged and remembered for years to come, the department also announced plans to release a commemorative 30th anniversary shirt through its website.
