Babylon Fire Department Shares Electrical Fire Safety Tips

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

In order to lower the risk of electrical fires, the Babylon Fire Department encouraged locals on July 4 to plug air conditioners and other large appliances straight into wall sockets.

Because faulty electrical connections are a significant cause of domestic fires, department officials warned against utilizing extension cords, multi-tap converters, or three-to-two prong adapters with non-portable appliances. Firefighters stressed that these gadgets are not intended to be used in conjunction with powerful home appliances.
