East Freehold Fire Company Assists Firefighter II Training

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On June 25, members of the East Freehold Fire Company helped the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Academy teach Firefighter II recruits in vehicle extrication.

In order to help recruits acquire the skills necessary to safely remove individuals trapped in automobiles, Rescue 16-2-85 supported the hands-on section of the course. Before becoming certified, Firefighter II candidates must complete about 250 hours of training.

Additionally, the department encouraged those who were interested in volunteering to find out more about becoming members of the East Freehold Fire Company, an all-volunteer organization that has been serving the region since 1967.
