Dorothy, N.J. — July 6 — In order to interact with children and raise awareness of fire safety, members of the Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company went to a nearby summer camp. While describing how volunteer firemen assist their community, firefighters presented youngsters to emergency vehicles, protective gear, and basic firefighting equipment. Campers had the chance to ask questions and gain basic knowledge on emergency planning and fire prevention.

The visit bolstered ongoing public education initiatives that assist kids understand safe habits at home and at school and acknowledge firemen as dependable allies.
