Florence Township Fire Department Advances Fireground Readiness with Quarterly Live Burn

Florence, NJ - The Florence Township Fire Department conducted its second-quarter live burn training as part of its ongoing commitment to quarterly live fire evolutions. The training took place at the Mercer County Fire Academy, where personnel operated in a burn building not previously utilized by the department, providing new challenges and learning opportunities.


Crews focused on coordinated company fire attack, reinforcing first-due engine company and ladder company tactical objectives. Emphasis was also placed on vent-enter-search (VES) techniques, allowing members to refine critical skills in victim location and removal under realistic fire conditions.
