Monroe, CT - Monroe Volunteer Fire Department No.1 responded to a report of a dog struggling in the water at a private beach and lake area off Flint Ridge Road. Townwide volunteer firefighters, alongside Monroe Police Department, initiated an extensive search of the surrounding area.

Crews deployed two watercraft to conduct a coordinated search of the lake and shoreline. Despite thorough efforts, the dog was not located. The incident highlighted the department’s rapid response and commitment to water rescue operations in coordination with local partners.
