On July 9, Connor Whiting received a promotion to lieutenant from the Binghamton Fire Department in recognition of his more than seven years of service.
Whiting was a fireman assigned to Squad 21 on Group D prior to his promotion. He will now assume further leadership duties inside the department as lieutenant of Tower 21 on Group A.
