A Call for Mutual Aid: Perth Crews Head to Eagan Road

BROADALBIN, NY — August 20, 2026 — A reported completely engaged structure fire on Eagan Road in the Town of Broadalbin prompted the Perth Volunteer Fire Company to react on mutual assistance Thursday morning.
At around 5:13 a.m., the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Department called and asked Perth for help.
The Perth Volunteer Fire Company claims that once it was reported that the structure was completely engulfed, firemen were sent out as mutual assistance. The Mayfield Volunteer Fire Department, Galway Volunteer Fire Company, Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department, and Providence Volunteer Fire Department were among the other organizations that responded.
While many departments were working on the situation, the Pleasant Square Fire Company was asked to offer standby coverage to help keep the neighborhood safe from fire.
Lake Valley Ambulance, Fulton County Emergency Management, Fulton County Emergency EMS, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, New York State Fire, and National Grid were among the other emergency-service organizations on the site.
