Pawlet, VT. — July 1 — When the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department received its new engine-tanker, the Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department acknowledged it. The new equipment improved emergency response in rural locations with limited hydrants by expanding firefighting and water delivery capacities. Engine-tankers are useful in structural fires and mutual aid situations since they have a big onboard water supply in addition to fire suppression equipment.

During more serious crises, the addition helped nearby departments and improved regional response capacities. According to department officials, ongoing investments in cutting-edge equipment enable firefighters to work more effectively while improving community and citizen safety throughout the area.
