Pawlet Firefighters Conducted Water Supply Training

Pawlet, VT. — June 16 — To improve fireground operations, Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department firefighters held a practical water supply training session. In addition to rehearsing hose deployment, pump operations, and coordinated water flow, crews went over how to deliver water to the first-arriving pumper. The drill strengthened the abilities required for fighting fires in rural areas, where a steady supply of water is essential and hydrants are frequently absent.


In order to increase effectiveness during emergency reactions, members also examined communication and equipment placement. Frequent training equips teams to defend the Pawlet community in a range of response scenarios by helping firefighters maintain operational preparedness, improve collaboration, and guarantee dependable water delivery during structure fires.
