Clarendon, VT. — June 23 — Members of the Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department and the Clarendon Fire Association participated in a joint training. Later that night, they responded to an emergency call together. Enhancing coordination, communication, and operational preparedness amongst adjacent departments was the main goal of the training. Firefighters were able to reinforce mutual aid protocols in real-world scenarios by cooperating during both a planned practice and an actual response.

When more resources are needed, departments can function more efficiently thanks to regional training events. In order to enable safe and effective emergency operations, the evening illustrated the ongoing importance of solid partnerships, shared experience, and coordinated response capabilities.
