Upper St. Clair, PA. — June 4 — Following their graduation from Upper St. Clair High School, Carson Rackley and Nick Gilbert received recognition from the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department. After joining the department in January 2025, both received classroom instruction and hands-on training to acquire their Firefighter I certifications later that year.

As they prepared for future positions in the fire department, their achievements demonstrated a dedication to both education and public service. The basis for emergency response and structure firefighting is provided by the Firefighter I qualification. The department keeps helping young volunteers acquire the expertise, experience, and information necessary to effectively serve their communities.
