In remembrance of Police Officer Eugene Miglio III, who lost his life while performing his duties on June 2, 1995, the Wildwood Crest Volunteer Fire Department joined the Wildwood Crest Police Department and Wildwood Crest EMS on June 2nd. Residents, family members, police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel assembled at the gravestone and memorial tree honoring Miglio. While performing his responsibilities, Officer Miglio engaged in a struggle with a belligerent subject and sustained fatal injuries.
