Wexford, Pa. — June 15 — The Wexford Volunteer Fire Company, 228 N. Chapel Dr., congratulated seven firefighters for attaining nationally recognized ProBoard certifications. Josh Swarmer, Ryan Sarel, and Hayden Trembulak received Firefighter I certification, while JJ Cerny, Christiaan Van Driel, Tom Baxter, and Dan Walter earned Firefighter II certification.

The certifications proved that each firefighter met national professional qualification standards through classroom instruction, practical skills training, and written examinations. While Firefighter II develops advanced operational expertise, Firefighter I lays the groundwork for structure firefighting. The accomplishment demonstrated the department's ongoing dedication to professional growth and upholding a highly skilled emergency response team.
