Wexford, Pa. — June 11 — Christiaan received recognition for his efforts as the department's Risk Reduction Coordinator from the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company, located at 228 N. Chapel Dr. He supported community safety through fire prevention, public education, safety outreach, and community risk reduction programs aimed at decreasing emergencies before they occurred.

His efforts helped enhance public awareness and supported safe behaviors throughout the Township of Pine. By integrating outreach, education, and prevention with disaster response, community risk reduction continues to be a crucial component of the fire service. The department also asked locals to pursue volunteer options, both on and off the fireground, to support its purpose of serving the community.
