Aquashicola Hosted Multi-District Landing Zone Training

Palmerton, PA. — June 22 — 78 first responders from Fire Districts 1, 2, 4, 7, and 9 attended a helicopter safety, landing zone, and air operations training event presented by the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company. Establishing safe landing zones, working with flight crews, preserving scene safety, and assisting with air medical operations were the key topics of discussion. Firefighters and EMS workers can better prepare for situations requiring quick patient transport by receiving helicopter training.


Additionally, the program reinforced standard operating procedures utilized during emergency operations and improved collaboration among participating organizations. Practical instruction aimed at enhancing preparedness for upcoming air medical incidents throughout the region finished the course.
