Line Lexington, PA. — June 9 — Dakota Smith received recognition from Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company for earning the Firefighter I Pro Board National Certification. Classroom education, practical training, and assessments in fire suppression, search and rescue, ladders, ventilation, hazardous materials awareness, and firefighter safety were all part of the nationally acclaimed program.

Members of the Firefighter I certification program are prepared to meet national requirements for emergency response and structural firefighting. Smith's accomplishment strengthened the department's emergency response capabilities by adding another certified firefighter to its operational roster. Additionally, the accreditation improved the company's capacity to offer trustworthy mutual aid and fire protection services in Hilltown Township and nearby Bucks County areas.
