Bogota Fire Prevention Bureau Adds Specialized Investigation Vehicle

In order to improve post-fire investigation skills, Bogota Fire Department personnel deployed their new Fire Investigation Unit, designated Car FP3, on June 26.
According to officials, the specialist team has the equipment required to carry out origin and cause investigations after fire accidents. While officers of the Fire Prevention Bureau stay on the site to finish investigations, the addition of Car FP3 will speed up the return of suppression companies to service.
Department heads expressed gratitude to the Bogota Mayor and Council for giving the funds and materials required to start the unit.
