Agawam, MA. — June 17 — Ryan Coots, a firefighter paramedic, is the newest member of the Agawam Fire Department. After graduating from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Fire Academy and working for the Amherst Fire Department, Coots joined the department. His background in emergency medical services and fire suppression enhances the department's reaction capabilities.

Fire Chief Alan Sirois, Mayor Christopher Johnson, and City Clerk Vincent Gioscia attended a welcome ceremony.
