Warwick Members Participated in Mutual Aid Training

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Warwick, MA. — June 18 — A joint training exercise on rural water supply operations was conducted by the Northfield Fire Department and the Warwick Fire Department. Firefighters practiced using a four-inch hose line and drafting water from a static source—skills that are frequently utilized in places without hydrants. Additionally, the exercise strengthened coordination between mutual aid departments, water movement, and apparatus placement.

Before responding to catastrophes jointly, nearby agencies can enhance communication and familiarize themselves with each other's equipment through joint training. Frequent drills like this ensure that firefighters are equipped to deliver efficient service when situations needing mutual aid assistance, establish regional partnerships, and maintain operational preparedness.
