Turners Falls, MA. — May 25 — At Veterans Soldier's Memorial Park on Avenue A, the Turners Falls Fire Department observed Memorial Day alongside neighborhood groups and citizens. Prayers and speeches honoring Montague locals who lost their lives while serving in the US military were part of the service. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Soldiers Memorial Committee, Montague Elks, and Montague Select Board.

The occasion gave the community a chance to memorialize those who never returned home and to consider the sacrifices made by military members. The celebration also brought attention to the common ideals of duty, service, and dedication to others among emergency services personnel.
