GREENFIELD, MA. — May 23 — Following the line-of-duty death of a Boston firefighter, the Greenfield Fire Department joined others of the fire service community in sending condolences. Firefighters, relatives, and supporters acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices made by those who serve, and the loss was felt throughout Massachusetts and the emergency services community. Members of the department recognized the effect these incidents have on other responders and the significance of helping impacted agencies and families.

During this trying time, fire departments throughout the area sent messages of remembering and support to the Boston Fire Department. The Greenfield Fire Department honored the memory of a firefighter who lost his life while performing their duty and acknowledged the commitment of firefighters who serve their communities every day.
