Berlin, MA. — May 23 — In remembrance of Boston Fire Department Rescue 2 Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr., who lost his life while performing his duties, the Berlin Fire & EMS Department joined fire departments throughout New England. As a member of Boston's specialist rescue company, Kilduff committed his professional life to helping the public and reacting to crises. The fire service as a whole acknowledged his passing and offered assistance to his friends, family, and fellow firefighters.

The risks that emergency responders encounter on a regular basis are brought to light by line-of-duty deaths. As members of the fire service community considered Kilduff's dedication, professionalism, and service to others, the Berlin Fire & EMS Department sent its condolences.
